Horse Opera is a 5 piece honky tonk band from Austin Tx.
The band is centered around the song writing of Jimmy Deveney.
Deveney sings and plays guitar in the band as well. The band features the musical talents of Chris Wallis on drums, Sly Barrack on lead guitar, Burton Lee on pedal steel, and Vaughn Walters on bass and backing vocals. As well as some great substitutes from the Austin country scene's wealth of talent.


Horse Opera plays all over the Austin area, and hosts a weekly show that features a revolving opening slot to showcase some of the great bands from the Austin country scene.

Horse Opera's debut album is due out at the begining of December, it is a live cd titled 'Horse Shoes & Hand Grenades', and will be available on their myspace page, and at shows.
